Everything but the Truth – Gillian McAllister

Everything but the Truth – Gillian McAllister – Genre – Psychological Thriller

Blurb: It all started with the email.

Rachel didn’t even mean to look. She loves Jack and she’s pregnant with their child. She trusts him.

But now she’s seen it, she can’t undo that moment. Or the chain of events it has set in motion.

Why has Jack been lying about his past? Just what exactly is he hiding? And doesn’t Rachel have a right to know the truth at any cost?

My Review: Everything but the Truth is a fabulous psychological thriller that I devoured over the weekend.  The main character Rachel has had some life-changing events happen which have caused her to re-evaluate her life and after splitting with her long term boyfriend she meets Jack and quickly becomes pregnant with his child.  One night she sees a private email to Jack and thus begins her downward spiral into doubt and suspicion, and becomes determined to uncover everything about him whatever the cost.   The reader is made aware early on that Rachel has secrets of her own and this makes this book all the more compelling and emotional as we uncover the truth throughout the book .  A wonderful debut to keep you on the edge of your seat.  Gillian McAllister is a talented author who captures the reader and takes them on a tense journey.

About The Author:  Gillian says “I am an author. Everything But The Truth, my debut novel, is coming out with Penguin in March next year and I am absolutely terrified. I like my very orange cat, reading books in bed while it rains, taking baths so hot they turn my skin pink and that moment where you think ‘what if . . . ‘ and a novel idea is born”.  Read more about Gillian here
