I was dead for 13 minutes.
I don’t remember how I ended up in the icy water
but I do know this – it wasn’t an accident and I wasn’t suicidal.
They say you should keep your friends close and your enemies closer, but when you’re a teenage girl, it’s hard to tell them apart. My friends love me, I’m sure of it. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t try to kill me. Does it?
13 MINUTES by Sarah Pinborough is a gripping psychological thriller about people, fears, manuiplation and the power of the truth. A stunning read, it questions our relationships – and what we really know about the people closest to us
My Review: 13 Minutes by Sarah Pinborough is a YA psychological thriller and everytime I read a book like this I am so bloody grateful I am no longer a teenager or have daughters!
A very tense and disturbing tale of a young girl, Natasha, who had been rescued from drowning (she actually died for 13 minutes) and the story of how she came to be found in the river. With typical teenage bitching, bickering, bullying and trying to get in the “IN” crowd 13 Minutes is a gripping thriller with plenty of twists and turns.
About the Author: Sarah Pinborough is a critically acclaimed, award-winning, adult and YA author. She is also a screenwriter who has written for the BBC and has several original television projects in development.
Her next novel, Behind Her Eyes, coming for HarperFiction in the UK and Flatiron in the US (January 2017) has sold in nearly 20 territories worldwide and is a dark thriller about relationships with a kicker of a twist. See my full review here
