What’s the strangest fan question or request you’ve received?
In reply to where I grew up – Sheffield – did I know Sean Bean! My answer was sadly not, but if ever the opportunity to meet him arises…
If you could co-write with anyone in the world (alive or dead) who would it be?
Kate Atkinson! I just love the light touch and humour of her writing. It appears to be effortless, but it’s amazing literary beauty!
Tell me something nobody else knows about you (yet!).
I am Sean Bean in disguise! Urm… I have four pairs of boots still unworn in their boxes!
Finally please recommend 3 books that you have recently read and tell me why you’ve chosen these.
The Dry by Jane Harper – a really easy to read, fast paced and succinct debut!
The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood – loved it! So topical, so intriguing, so imaginative! So much food for thought on so many levels!
The Son by Jo Nesbo. I kept waiting for Harry Hole to appear, but despite his absence, it was the usual chunky, involved and intriguing great read
