Tell me about your book and why we should read it?

The Woman on the Bridge asks “how far would you go to save a perfect stranger?” It’s very fast-paced, full of twists and was partially inspired by Strangers on a Train…

If someone was to write your life story what would the title be?

Deadlines and Debacles.

What’s the strangest fan question or request you’ve received?

Hmn, not a question as such but I did have someone send me wave upon wave of gifs of things like a cartoon man driving along in a dune buggy. I mean, hundreds of messages!

If you could co-write with anyone in the world (alive or dead) who would it be?

Patricia Highsmith, although I know she was a prickly character and would probably destroy me.

Tell me something nobody else knows about you (yet!).

Um… I’m such a blabbermouth, I don’t know if there’s anything left to tell. OK, when I was a kid, I had an imaginary friend called Derek who wore an old brown jumper. Freaks me out when I think about that now.

Finally please recommend 3 books that you have recently read and tell me why you’ve chosen these.

Impossible by Sarah Lotz – incredibly fresh idea that moved and inspired me.

Our Wives Under The Sea by Julia Armfield – beautifully written, evocative and unusual.

Friedrichstrasse 19 by Emma Harding – I love anything set in Berlin but especially involving time slips and intriguing buildings..
