Tell me about the person behind the blog?
I’m Lauren, i live in South East London with my partner of 9 years and 4 months. I work from home caring for my partner (he has various learning difficulties and as result cannot function a washing machine, cook etc..) I only got back into reading approximately 2 and 1/2 years ago.
When did you start blogging and why?
I started blogging in July 2016 but hadn’t posted much until the end of 2016. My came about through the encouragement and guidance of fellow blogger Gemma Gaskarth – Between the pages book club.
What are your proudest moments or achievements todate as a blogger?
My proudest achievements/moments as a blogger have to be seeing my review circulate social media via other bloggers and authors.
If you had to breakdown the components of your ideal perfect book what would they be?
For me, the perfect book has to include: twisty twists, a bit of romance, realistic characters and a well written plot.
What is your favourite genre to read?
My favourite genre is psychological thrillers mainly because when reading we go through a variety of emotions such as anger & relief. I love the way that the book gets inside your head and the twists.
Finally, tell me more about your blog and why we should subscribe?
I review a variety of genres on blog, from chick lit to thrillers, so there’s something for everyone. I have recently started a new feature for Monday’s – about books we are aiming to read within that week. I am looking to expand my blog and review things like bath products, home made jewellery and bookmarks etc..
