Competition – 27th May 2017 – Now Closed

Last week the wonderful Dorothy Koomson sent me a copy of her brand new book THE FRIEND which is out on 1st June 2017, and I am extremely excited about reading it soon.

This morning I received this in the post – another copy of THE FRIEND but this time it’s all wrapped up with a lovely bow and a letter which reads

How are you?  I hope you’re well.

I’m sending you this wrapped copy of my newest novel, The Friend, so you can give it as a gift to a friend, family member or any other person important to you.

I hope receiving it brings a little sunshine to the person you give it to, and you enjoy taking part in this small act of friendship.

Book Description:

What secrets would you kill to keep?

After her husband’s big promotion, Cece Solarin arrives in Brighton with their three children, ready to start afresh. But their new neighbourhood has a deadly secret.

Three weeks earlier, Yvonne, a very popular parent, was almost murdered in the grounds of the local school – the same school where Cece has unwittingly enrolled her children.

Already anxious about making friends when the parents seem so cliquey, Cece is now also worried about her children’s safety. By chance she meets Maxie, Anaya and Hazel, three very different school mothers who make her feel welcome and reassure her about her new life.

That is until Cece discovers the police believe one of her new friends tried to kill Yvonne. Reluctant to spy on her friends but determined to discover the truth, Cece must uncover the potential murderer before they strike again . . .

From the bestselling author of That Girl from Nowhere and When I Was Invisible comes a thrilling new novel that will have you questioning the line between right and wrong.

So the good news for all Compulsive Readers followers is that none of my friends or family read (I know.. criminal isn’t it!) so I am offering it out to YOU.  All you need to do is comment below and tell me why I should choose you as my new friend!

Good luck.

Hi Tracy! I hope you will choose me as your new friend as I love thrillers & I love Dorothy Koomson’s books in particular! It’s a boiling hot Bank Holiday weekend, too hot for me to go out in, so I am going to be reading solidly & will very soon be running out of reading matter! That will be a state of emergency so I hope you, my new friend, will be able to come to my rescue! 🙂
    Happy weekend!

Yes please Tracy. As a mother to 2 teenagers I need my books to escape alongside the wine and cakes. I could share my ever growing book collection with you and even possibly the wine and cake if you shared your books back.

If you pick me as your new very bestest friend in the whole wide world I promise to stop sending you pictures of cats (well, i’ll try and cut back) and I would love you forever which must be worth something? Oh yes, and I love Dorothy Koomson too.

Lots of kisses and big hugs from your new BFF and I’m so excited about all the things we can do together, and I’l never spoil a book for you cos I’m too much of a scaredy pants to ever read a thriller!

You should choose me as your friend because you kept me locked in a basement for 6 months and Charlie Fenton left me for a Swedish waitress after having his wicked way with me. Also, I adore DK and this could very well be the start of her and I becoming BFFs. You cannot stand in the way of that, surely!?

I would love to be your new reading buddy. I really enjoy Dorothy Koomson’s books – her characters are so real. (this is to reel you in). Right – down to the nitty gritty – here’s the deal. I am more than willing to bribe you with coffee, cake and/or chocolates, for the chance to get my hands on a new book. I have absolutely no scruples whatsoever where literature is concerned. Just saying. Pick me pick me pick me
