No Safe Home – Tara Lyons (DI Denis Hamilton #2)

Detective Inspector Denis Hamilton is haunted when the suspicious death of a teenage girl triggers suppressed memories. With a stalker targeting vulnerable women in Central London, and his team rapidly diminishing, Hamilton must conquer his emotions before another family is destroyed.

In a sleepy town in Hertfordshire, Katy has worked hard to rebuild her life after leaving behind everything she knew. But when her past catches up with her, and her young son’s life is threatened, Katy must admit her true identity if she has any hope of surviving.

A home should be a safe place, shouldn’t it?

But sometimes it is hard to know who you can trust…

London’s murder investigations team returns in the second novel from the bestselling author of In the Shadows.

My Review:  I only recently read Tara Lyon’s debut novel In the Shadows (see my full review here) and thoroughly enjoyed it so immediately downloaded the second book to read.  Once again the author shows a skill of being able to create a realistic and authentic police procedural story and bringing the team to life.

In this second book we find out more about DI Denis Hamilton’s past and understand more about his motivation and what makes him tick when his team are tracking down a horrific serial killer who is targeting single mothers and their young sons.

I would strongly recommend this book, but if like me you can’t read books out of order – read In the Shadows first.

About the Author: Tara is a crime/psychological thriller author from London, UK. Turning 30 in 2015 propelled her to fulfil her lifelong dream of becoming a writer.

In the Shadows is the author’s solo debut novel published in March 2016 and No Safe Home is book 2 in the series.   When she’s not writing, Tara can be found at a local Wacky Warehouse stuck in the ball-pit with her young, energetic son.
