The Breakdown – BA Paris

The Breakdown – BA Paris – Genre Psychological Thriller – Release Date: Feb 2017

Blurb: If you can’t trust yourself, who can you trust?

Cass is having a hard time since the night she saw the car in the woods and the woman who was killed. Since then she’s been forgetting everything. Where she left the car, if she took her pills, the alarm code, why she ordered a pram when she doesn’t have a baby. What she can’t forget is the woman she might have saved, and the terrible nagging guilt. Or the silent calls she’s receiving and the feeling that someone’s watching her…

My 5 star Review: The Breakdown is BA Paris’ second book after the amazing Behind Closed Doors which I personally loved and therefore was concerned that her next book had a lot to live up to. My concern was totally unwarranted as The Breakdown is utterly brilliant. This is a master class in psychological thrillers. Full of twists and turns, dread and guilt with a hint of paranoia. This story kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. A phenomenal, tense and gripping thriller which I thoroughly recommend and if you like stories that give you that uncomfortable feeling almost like heartburn then please read this with a bottle of Gaviscon close by. 5 big fat stars.
