How far would you go to make all your dreams come true?
Amber Patterson is tired of being a nobody: an invisible woman who melts into the background. She deserves more. She deserves a life of wealth, luxury and leisure.
Daphne Parrish is the golden girl of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut. With her model looks, her picture-perfect mansion and her millionaire husband, Jackson, she has everything Amber wants.
Amber’s envy could eat her alive—if she didn’t have a plan. Before long, she has become Daphne’s closest friend, and is catching the eye of Jackson. But a skeleton from her past could destroy everything, and if discovered, Amber’s well-laid plan may end in disaster…

My Thoughts:
Why and how did I miss this amazing book when it was published 7 years ago? However, let’s not worry about that, let’s just celebrate that I finally found Mrs Parrish AND the prequel The First Shot AND the fact that THE NEXT MRS PARRISH will be published in June this year… and even better news if you have Kindle Unlimited you can get the prequel and book 1 absolutely FREE.
So, let’s discuss The Last Mrs Parrish: Set in the USA, Amber Patterson is a woman on a mission. She’s had a tough upbringing and is on the run from her past but she has her sights very clearly set on Jackson Parrish. He’s very handsome, very successful and very, very rich, but also very married to the beautiful, sophisticated and lovely Daphne, but that’s not going to stop Amber.
When she “accidentally” bumps into Daphne at the gym, the two of them strike up a very close friendship based on a tragic coincidence which Amber may or may not have made up. Daphne being the sweet and generous soul she is, takes Amber under her wing and begins to help her sort out her life with devastating results for everyone involved.
Now I absolutely LOVE despicable characters and Amber really is one of my new favourite batsh*t psychopaths. She has absolutely NO morals, NO guilt, NO compassion and literally will stop at NOTHING to get what she believes she’s entitled to.
This book is deliciously wicked, outrageously entertaining and had several OMG moments which had me grinning like a cheshire cat. Would I recommend this book? ABSOLUTELY. Have I read the PREQUEL? YES, STRAIGHT AFTER I FINISHED THIS ONE. Have I preordered the next book? OF COURSE.
