Tell me about the person behind the blog?
I’m Amy a thirty something wife and mom to three kids. (8, 5, 2)I stay at home with my kids for now, my youngest was just diagnosed with ASD and I’m his primary caretaker. I spend most days running the kids all around and reading in between, I sneak it in any moment I can. I love TV as well and watch way too much trashy reality TV, it’s my guilty pleasure. I watch classier shows with my husband even though he pretends not to like the smut I watch. (He totally does and he loves that he can act like it’s just me that wants to watch)
When did you start blogging and why?
I started last summer and it was really on a whim. David actually encouraged me too and I’m so happy he did. I really just wanted a place to track all of my thoughts, something that was just mine not like Goodreads. I never even realized there was such a large bookish community and had no idea how involved I would become so quickly.
What are your proudest moments or achievements todate as a blogger?
Bookouture used one of my quotes about Robert Bryndza’s latest Erika Foster book as a promo poster and I was so excited! I’m also still shocked daily when I receive new followers that want to hear what I think. It’s astounding.
If you had to breakdown the components of your ideal perfect book what would they be?
I need it to grab me right away, I want to be hooked immediately. I also want fantastic writing and a plot that’s engaging and unique. I want to be pissed off when I have to put the book down because I can’t wait to see what happens next.
What is your favourite genre to read?
Mystery/Thriller though I read a wide variety of genres. I think it’s because the good ones pull me in quickly and give me everything I expect for a great reading experience.
Can you recommend me 3 books please?
I’m going to pick 3 books that I think are highly underrated and they all deserve more attention!
Tall Oaks by Chris Whitaker has one of my favorite characters of all time. Manny is someone I still think about and I read this book last year!! The characterization is superb and the plot is gripping and surprising.
After the Affair by Jonathan Kaye put a fresh spin on the whole cheating spouse scenario. It was a dark, twisty, compelling read with raw, well drawn characters.
The Memory Box by Eva Lesko Natiello was an insane, unsettling book about what happens to one suburban mom after she Googles her own name. Huge chunks of her memory are missing and as she starts to dig into her past things get crazy bizarre and darkly disturbing. A total head game of a read that I loved!

I’m always honest in my reviews and I can promise I won’t recommend a book if I didn’t truly love it. I read a little bit of everything so there is definitely something for everyone. I try and post some sort of new content every single day so there is always something new and fresh. I’m passionate about my love of reading and hope that shines through in my reviews.
