Everyone is Lying to You is the story of two women who were best friends in College and then for unknown reasons lost touch.
The story starts fifteen years later and is told through the voices of both women, Lizzie is a journalist, struggling in a dying industry and juggling motherhood with her two young children whilst navigating married life with her unemployed husband.
Bex is now an internet sensation, a mommy blogger and influencer and known as Rebecca. She has millions of followers, 5 children and a very handsome and successful husband. Living on a ranch and on the surface appears to have a very perfect and charmed life.
When Rebecca reaches out to Lizzie and asks her to come to a very exclusive influencer conference for an exclusive interview, Lizzie can’t turn it down for both professional and personal reasons as she still can’t understand why Rebecca ghosted her all those years ago.
However, a gruesome murder, a missing woman and her children and a police investigation turns everyone’s lives upside down.
Once again the theme of internet fame and social media plays a major part in this story, proving you really shouldn’t believe everything you see. Everyone is Lying To You has layers and layers of secrets and twists and kept me highly entertained throughout.
