There are two sides to every story: yours and mine, ours and theirs, His & Hers. Which means someone is always lying.
Anna Andrews finally has what she wants. Almost. She’s worked hard to become the main TV presenter of the BBC’s lunchtime news, putting work before friends, family, and her now ex-husband. So, when someone threatens to take her dream job away, she’ll do almost anything to keep it.
When asked to cover a murder in Blackdown–the sleepy countryside village where she grew up–Anna is reluctant to go. But when the victim turns out to be one of her childhood friends, she can’t leave. It soon becomes clear that Anna isn’t just covering the story, she’s at the heart of it.
DCI Jack Harper left London for a reason, but never thought he’d end up working in a place like Blackdown. When the body of a young woman is discovered, Jack decides not to tell anyone that he knew the victim, until he begins to realise he is a suspect in his own murder investigation.
One of them knows more than they are letting on. Someone isn’t telling the truth. Alternating between Anna’s and Jack’s points of view, His & Hers is a fast-paced, complex, and dark puzzle that will keep listeners guessing until the very end.

My Review:
Alice Feeney is, in my opinion, the QUEEN of twisty. There is absolutely NO DOUBT in my mind that she creates the most twisted, dysfunctional, dark and disturbing characters and let’s not even mention her skill of creating the most believable unreliable narrators EVER.
His and Hers is her latest standalone psychological thriller and if you haven’t read her previous two Sometimes I Lie (my review here) and I Know Who You Are (my review here), then what the heck are you waiting for.. download them NOW as His and Hers isn’t published until 28th May 2020.
This is a story told by the two main characters: Anna Andrews – a successful newsreader with a personal life in tatters, a drinking problem and troubled past she is determined to run from and DCI Jack Harper – a policeman who also has run away from his past and living in a town where nothing much happens until a body is found and he realises he could actually be the main suspect.
His and Hers is the tale of two sides to a story, the murder of a young woman, the newsreader sent to cover the story and the policeman determined to catch the killer and protect himself. Alice Feeney cleverly overlaps the narrators own versions of the truth, weaving them together and slowly revealing the full story to the reader chapter by chapter. I read so many psychological thrillers so you’d think I would be able to work it out.. uh uh… not this time. His and Hers kept me guessing and changing my mind constantly and I was totally gripped throughout.
Twisted, twisty and clever His and Hers is another cracking book from Alice Feeney and I highly recommend it.
