I’m psychologist Dr Emy Rose, but that’s not my real name.
I work with serial killers who’ve hidden their victims. My job is to find the bodies – and I’m kind of awesome at it.
The trick is to get inside these murderers’ minds. And there’s one in particular I’m hellbent on breaking.
Why? None of your business! Just know, I’ll stop at nothing to read that killer’s mind…
Tam Barnett’s brilliant new novel will get into your head and under your skin…

My Thoughts:
How To Read a Killer’s Mind is the latest novel by Tam Barnett, published by Boldwood and currently FREE on Kindle Unlimited.
I was immediately drawn to the book by the blurb above, just the mention of serial killers grabs my attention and when you add the darkly witty humour, then I am literally drooling with anticipation of a fun, entertaining book.
Dr Emy Rose is the main character and narrator of this story. She’s sarcastic, emotionally unstable, rather unethical and unconventional.
Working on a secretive government project, Emy’s mission is to coax confessions from convicted serial killers and uncover the locations of their hidden victims. However, she isn’t just doing this for justice – she has a personal motive which the reader slowly finds out about throughout the chapters.
If you enjoy morally complex characters, twisty plots, and a touch of dark humour, this book is well worth your time.
Recommended for fans of: Bella Mackie, Katy Brent, Alex Michaelides, and true crime narratives like Mindhunter.
