My Thoughts:
Having seen this book being highly recommended on Facebook, AND the fact is is FREE on Kindle Unlimited, it piqued my interest as a) I loved Dexter and b) the trigger warnings appeal to my darker side!
I Kill Killers is about a serial killer who kills killers. I think that’s the first time I’ve ever written the word “kill” 5 times in one sentence (do you think that’s overkill?).
With nods to Dexter and comparisons to The Queen’s Gambit AND Kill Bill, I knew before I even started this book that it would be right up my street and I wasn’t wrong.
Leah Nachtnebel is a world famous classical pianist. Her concerts sell out years in advance and she is literally at the pinnacle of her career. She is dedicated, professional and committed and in her spare time, she hunts serial killers and kills them in some really gory and grisly ways. (Well everyone needs a hobby don’t they?)
Whilst Leah is busy removing the dregs of humanity from the planet a young and eager FBI Agent from the Behavioural Analysis Unit, Liam is hot on her Christian Louboutin heels and is trying to connect the bloody dots between Leah and the latest victim.
I’m not going to say much more about the plot because you need to read this yourself. It’s fun (in a sick and dark way), it’s fast-paced, it’s gory and graphic, it’s twisty and twisted and I really, really enjoyed it. And the BEST news is that although the book does end on a cliffhanger, the next book “I Kill Killers II” will be published on 15th September 2024 and I’ve already pre-ordered my copy.
