Liar – K L Slater

How far would you go to protect your family?
Single dad Ben is doing his best to raise his children, with the help of his devoted mother Judi.

And then Ben meets Amber. Everyone thinks this is a perfect match for Ben but Judi isn’t so sure…

There’s just something about Amber that doesn’t add up. Ben can’t see why his mother dislikes his new girlfriend. And Amber doesn’t want Judi anywhere near her new family. Amber just wants Ben and the children.

The further Judi delves into Amber’s personal life, the closer she gets to shocking secrets that could change everything. And Judi must make a decision that could lead to the most disastrous consequences.

My Review:  Now please don’t judge me but the moment I realised this book featured a psychopathic bat-shit crazy female main character I instantly got rather excited.  Who doesn’t love a completely ruthless psycho-bitch and believe me when I say Amber is a scary woman.

Liar by KL Slater is the first book I’ve read by this author and definitely not my last.  It’s a gripping page Turner which I really couldn’t put down.

With twists and turns throughout, there were moments my heart was in my throat.  My feelings ranged from sympathy to horror for all the characters and the brilliant storyline kept me turning the pages way past my bedtime.

Highly recommended for fans of psychological thrillers.
