Three of my favourite people in the literary world have agreed to talk to me tonight on my new weekly feature Tracy Talks To…
As a huge fan of Lisa Jewell, Rowan Coleman and Amanda Prowse it was a dream come true to have a zoom meeting and a giggle or two talking about books, pizza, giraffe chandeliers and you will never guess which one of these ladies considers it a good day if she hasn’t killed anyone.
Rowan Coleman’s first novel Growing Up Twice was a WHS Fresh Talent Winner. Since then, Rowan has written fifteen novels, including The Memory Book which was a Sunday Times bestseller. It was selected for the Richard and Judy Bookclub and awarded Love Reading Novel of the Year, as voted for by readers.
Her latest novel, The Summer of Impossible Things, is a Zoe Ball TV Book Club selection.
Rowan lives with her husband and their five children in a very full house in Hertfordshire, juggling writing novels with raising her family. She really wishes someone would invent time travel.

My first book, Ralph’s Party, came out in 1999 and was the best selling debut novel for that year.
Since then I have written and published another sixteen books, from the ‘curry and flatmates’ novels of the nineties and noughties like Thirtynothing, One Hit Wonder, A Friend of the Family and Vince & Joy, to more family-themed novels like After The Party, The Making of Us and The House We Grew Up In and more recently, psychological thrillers such as I Found You, Then She Was Gone, Watching You and The Family Upstairs, which charted in the summer of 2019 at number one in the hardback charts.
I live in London with my husband, two daughters, two hairy cats, two nervous guinea pigs and a lovely auburn dog. I write every day, a minimum of one thousand words, in a cafe, with no access to the internet, in two to three hour sessions.
