The Accomplice – Steve Cavanagh (Eddie Flynn Book 7)

THE MOST HATED WOMAN IN AMERICA

The Sandman killings have been solved. Daniel Miller murdered fourteen people before he vanished. His wife, Carrie, now faces trial as his accomplice. The FBI, the District Attorney, the media and everyone in America believe she knew and helped cover up her husband’s crimes.

THE LAWYER

Eddie Flynn won’t take a case unless his client is innocent. Now, he has to prove to a jury, and the entire world, that Carrie Miller was just another victim of the Sandman. She didn’t know her husband’s dark side and she had no part in the murders. But so far, Eddie and his team are the only ones who believe her.

THE FORMER FBI AGENT

Gabriel Lake used to be a federal agent, before someone tried to kill him. Now, he’s an investigator with a vendetta against the Sandman. He’s the only one who can catch him, because he believes that everything the FBI knows about serial killers is wrong.

THE KILLER

My Review:

The Accomplice is book 7 in the wonderful Eddie Flynn series and whilst these book can definitely be read in any order, I would strongly recommend that if you haven’t met Eddie yet to start with Book 1 – The Defence and read the entire series as it was written.

I read The Accomplice in a day and literally didn’t put it down from the opening chapter to the final words and this seems to only happen when I read books in this series.

Firstly, I adore Eddie and have followed his career since 2015 when Mr Cavanagh sent me a signed copy of The Defence and my husband (who doesn’t read EVER) saw the cover and actually wanted to read the book himself.

Each book, in my opinion, gets better and better and The Accomplice doesn’t disappoint. There is a nasty serial killer on the loose, the police know who he is but he has disappeared leaving his wife Carrie in the frame. Now she’s about to face a jury for being his accomplice and Eddie takes on her case to prove her innocence.

As fans of this series would expect, Eddie is faced with a difficult case and with his trusted friends and colleagues around him, this one appears to be the most complex of all time. Full of twists and horrific killings, this is yet another brilliant legal thriller guaranteed to keep readers hooked and shocked and fans delighted.

Rating: 5 out of 5.
