My Thoughts:

Steve Cavanagh returns with another electrifying legal thriller in Two Kinds of Stranger, featuring my favourite former con artist turned trial lawyer Eddie Flynn.

The story centers on Ellie Parker, a social media influencer known for her #RandomActsOfKindness. Her life seems perfect—until a live stream reveals her husband and best friend in bed together. The betrayal goes viral, and Ellie’s world crumbles in real time.

But things get worse. Much worse.

After helping a stranger with a broken leg and a heavy suitcase, Ellie wakes up in a hospital, handcuffed to the bed. Her husband and best friend are dead, and she’s the prime suspect. What began as a good deed spirals into a nightmare orchestrated by a sadistic mastermind.

Enter Eddie Flynn, who takes on Ellie’s case, only to discover that the killer is playing a twisted game—one that threatens not just Ellie, but Eddie’s own family.

Having followed this phenomenal series from book 1 The Defence in 2017, we know how important Eddie’s family and friends mean to him, and there is NOTHING he won’t do to protect his loved ones, so when his daughter, ex-wife and her husband are placed in danger, he faces his toughest case to date.

Fans of this series will know to expect the unexpected and Two Kinds of Stranger does not disappoint. As usual, Steve Cavanagh has given the reader an emotionally charged story with some absolutely gripping twists, some brilliant (and particularly disturbed) characters and leaves #TeamEddie groupies desperate for the next book.

Another masterclass in legal thrillers and I can’t recommend this series enough. Grab yourself a copy, download the series and buckle up for a fantastic ride.
